New Spanish-language Episode added: Tomar una Foto: Agente de Cambio

Tomar una Foto: Agente de Cambio

KidCitizen is happy to announce that we have added another Spanish-language episode.

Tomar una Foto: Agente de Cambio (Snap a Photo: Agent of Change looks at how photographers helped convince Congress to pass child labor laws, focusing on some of Lewis Hine's photographs that exposed child working conditions and advocated for child labor laws to protect children.

By asking WHO the photographer was who captured these photos, this episode also highlights sourcing of information as part of historical inquiry.

Three KidCitizen Episodes are available in Spanish now, and we have three more in the works!

The Spanish-language version was created in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Puerto Rico, with help from a grant from the Teaching with Primary Sources Eastern Region.

An English-language version is also available.

All KidCitizen episodes are free for teachers and students to use, and can be accessed directly from https://www.kidcitizen.net. They work on PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, and iOS or Android tablets.
